We are seeking a Research Engineer for a position affiliated with the Stroke Recovery Research Center at the Medical University of South Carolina.
The successful candidate will be responsible for making independent contributions to the conduct of research studies with a focus on neurorehabilitation and human movement. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for independently performing data collection and data analysis, and for all the steps that are part of the experimental design process (equipment troubleshooting, computer programming, device development, personnel training). The candidate will be involved with research studies across several laboratories (Locomotion Energetics and Assessment Laboratory, Postural Assessment Laboratory, Locomotor Rehabilitation Laboratory, etc.) investigating novel assessments and treatments of individuals who have experienced a neurological injury. The candidate will work closely with research investigators, research staff including clinicians and engineers, students, and individuals with neurological injuries.
