    The Laboratory of Kinesiology (K-LAB) at University of Geneva (UNIGE) and Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) are offering a fully funded PhD position on the topic of Gait robustness in children with neuro-motor disorders.

    Details:
    • Host Laboratory: Laboratory of Kinesiology (K-LAB), UNIGE and HUG
    • Supervisors: Prof. Stephane Armand & Dr. Nathalie De Beukelaer
    • Start Date: April 1, 2025
    • Program: Lemanic Neuroscience Doctoral School

    Context and Objectives
    This PhD project is part of the ENABLE European-funded initiative. The goal is to evaluate motor abilities in children with neuromotor disorders within their daily environments and design personalized telerehabilitation solutions using AI-driven tools.
    The project will involve:
    • Advanced biomechanical and neurophysiological assessments
    • Innovative therapeutic interventions to enhance gait robustness
    • Multidisciplinary collaboration across research, clinical practice, and patient engagement

    Ideal Candidate Profile:
    • Master’s degree in neuroscience, kinesiology, biomechanics, biomedical engineering, or a related field
    • Experience with motion analysis and EMG (desirable)
    • Proficiency in programming (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R) for data analysis
    • Interest in clinical research with pediatric populations
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills
    • Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is a plus
