Epic Sports Biomechanics, LLC is offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team as an Assistant Performance Specialist. The primary role of the qualified individual will be to utilize Epic’s technology along with their own expertise to develop and execute individual development plans (IDPs) for athletes across various sports, ages, and skill levels. This qualified individual will also play significant role in client recruitment and marketing. With support from Epic staff, the Assistant Performance Specialist will be expected to market Epic’s services and recruit their own clientele.
The Assistant Performance Specialist should be well-versed in various physical screens, including Functional Movement Screen (FMS), flexibility/mobility assessments, athletic power and strength, athleticism profile, and injury-specific screens. Alongside other members of the Epic staff, the Assistant Performance Specialist will be a part of performance evaluations, assist in interpreting data, and execute a data-driven plan to improve objective performance metrics, mitigate injury risk, and meet athlete goals. The Epic model is based on hypothesis-driven testing and re-testing; executing an effective IDP between tests is a critical step in the Epic model.
This position will involve hands-on work with our clients during their training programs, skill assessments, and physical assessments. As such, experience and comfort engaging directly with athletes is a must.
