Essential Functions
This technician performs:
- Human subject research, data processing, and reporting.
- Laboratory maintenance.
- Troubleshooting equipment issues and support requests.
- Training of new laboratory staff and/or graduate students.
Additional Duties
- The above list of duties is not exhaustive. The incumbent will be required to undertake tasks that are reasonably expected within the scope of the position. Examples of additional tasks include:
- Independently troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Creating processing software using MATLAB, Visual 3D, and/or D-Flow.
- Creating and updating standard operating procedure manuals.
- Inventory of consumables, equipment, and licensed software (Cortex, Visual 3D, LabView, etc.).
- Recruiting and scheduling experimental subjects.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with conventional motion capture, force plates, and processing software.
- Bachelor’s or MSc in Biomechanics, Neuroscience, Engineering, Computer Science, Kinesiology or related field.
- Speak and write fluently in English.
Offer
