The project will develop and validate a wearable-based framework to study real-world walking aid use among older adults.
Project highlights:

Candidate background:
- Undergraduate degree in biomechanics, kinesiology, biomedical engineering, rehabilitation sciences, or a related field
- Experience with human movement analysis, signal processing, or wearable sensors is an asset
- Interest in clinical/translational research
The student will be based at UBC and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in applied science, rehabilitation and clinical research at the Centre for Aging SMART.
Start date: September 2026 (flexible)
