The Park Lab in the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering at Texas Tech University invites applications from 1–2 highly motivated PhD students to begin in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. These positions include full financial support (tuition and stipend) and are intended for students interested in occupational biomechanics, ergonomics, human movement, and wearable technologies.
Students joining the lab will contribute to research aimed at understanding and improving human movement, performance, and safety in work and technology-rich environments.

Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficiency in programming or data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C/C++, SPSS, or R)
- Attention to detail
- Prior experience with human-subject experiments
- Experience with CAD modeling, prototyping, or 3D printing
