We are looking for a motivated Master's student (thesis) or intern to join our team on an interdisciplinary project combining biomechanics, neuroscience, and computational modeling. The project focuses on adapting neuromechanical modeling of human locomotion (combining feedback/reflex and feedforward/CPG control) to study motor development in infants and growth-related changes.
Requirements
• Strong Matlab and Simulink skills are necessary
• Background in biomechanics, biomedical engineering, robotics, neuroscience, or related topics
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn
What you gain
• Hands-on research experience
• Work on cutting-edge neuromechanical models
• Opportunity to contribute to publications
Duration: 3–6 months
Location: UCLouvain, Laboratory of Physiology and Biomechanics of Locomotion (LOCO Lab) (Hybrid/remote options are negotiable)
Apply: Please send your CV and motivation letter to Sina.salehpour@uclouvain.be (Please use this subject for your email: Neuromechanical modeling for motor development)
