    Chief Scientific Officer (CSO)
Kinetic Motion Inc. (KMI) | www.gaitscientific.com
Location: Remote / Hybrid / Global

The Mission: Transforming Motion into Medicine
The rehabilitation market is currently limited by the "trained eye," which cannot quantify the micro-instabilities that lead to catastrophic falls and chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) decline. Kinetic Motion Inc. (KMI) is closing this gap by turning standard GoPro cameras into a clinical-grade diagnostic tool.

We have developed a first-in-kind AI engine that transforms a 10-second video into a comprehensive gait assessment. We aren't just "tracking" movement; we are effectively decoding the "mechanical engine" of movement to optimize recovery and prevent injury.

    Technology: Precision at Scale
While traditional analysis requires a specialized lab, our AI engine delivers professional insights from high-resolution GoPro camera videos. We provide a complete picture of how the body functions in the real world:
    • Targeted Pain Relief: Our platform pinpoints the hidden pressures that cause joint wear and tear. By identifying these stress points, we can shift the load away from painful areas, stopping chronic pain at its source.
    • Early Warning Detection: We catch "invisible" signs of decline—like subtle imbalances or hidden instabilities—long before they lead to a visible limp or a dangerous fall.
    • Optimized Recovery: We turn traditional movement into personalized, data-driven recovery plans. By refining how you move, we speed up post-surgery healing and restore lasting confidence in your mobility.

The Role: Architect of Movement Intelligence
As CSO, you will be the final authority on the integrity and accuracy of our platform. You will lead a visionary team to translate complex kinematic, kinetic, and physiological data into tailored treatment plans for high-volume patient populations, with a focus on the Medicare Advantage and value-based care markets.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Model Development: Lead the creation of predictive algorithms for fall risk and MSK decline using markerless 3D skeletal visualization.
    • Clinical Strategy: Design large-scale validation studies to prove our impact on patient outcomes and quality-of-care metrics.
    • Strategic Leadership: Oversee the evolution of our diagnostic suites, ensuring they provide insights—such as joint-level deviations—that are invisible to human observation.
    • Industry Liaison: Represent KMI to regulatory bodies and the global orthopedic and rehabilitation community.

    Requirements
    • PhD in Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, or Kinesiology with a focus on human movements.
    • Expertise in Human Locomotion & Physics: Deep understanding of the physics of human locomotion and multi-joint coordination.
    • Technical Fluency: Experience with AI/ML neural networks, computer vision, or wearable sensor integration.
    • Entrepreneurial Mindset: The desire to lead a high-growth startup from high-level research to a global commercial enterprise.

    Why Join Kinetic Motion Inc.?
    • Unprecedented Impact: Directly influences the care of over one million patients through existing healthcare partnerships.
    • Scale and Innovation: Lead a company that is turning "video into a vital sign," making clinical-grade analysis accessible anywhere.
    • Financial Upside: Significant Equity Options in a high-growth company with established reimbursement pathways and high-margin scalability.
    • Global Reach: Help restore mobility and independence to an aging population by redefining the standard of MSK care.

We are currently navigating a highly competitive recruitment cycle with an exceptional volume of qualified applicants. Our hiring team is conducting a rigorous initial screening to identify candidates whose expertise most closely aligns with our technical roadmap. The formal application deadline for this search is May 29th, 2026.

After the preliminary review concludes, we plan to begin the interview phase between early and mid-summer.

This recruitment comes at a pivotal moment for Kinetic Motion (KMI). We are preparing to launch a flagship research initiative at the forefront of mind-body integration. This project will utilize Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) systems to develop a closed-loop neuromodulation platform. By using high-fidelity motion biomarkers to deliver real-time neural feedback and perturbation, we aim to establish a new paradigm for neurorehabilitation, transitioning sophisticated neural technology into accessible, community-based primary care settings. This project aims to move neuro-motor technology out of the lab and into local clinics, using motion-driven feedback to create a powerful, non-invasive tool for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) and enhancing a mind-body whole health approach in the community.

Furthermore, we will formally announce a recruitment search for a Chief Engineer in late summer. Please stay updated on our upcoming vacancies.

We appreciate your patience and your interest in our vision for the future of rehabilitation technology. We will be in touch as soon as the current screening phase concludes.

    Best regards,

    The Kinetic Motion HR Team
