The Biomechanics Group within the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) invites applications for a faculty position in Biomechanics. We seek highly motivated researchers with a strong academic and research record who are interested in developing an independent research program within our interdisciplinary research environment.
Research Areas
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply:

• Tissue and cellular mechanics
• Mechanobiology and mechanotransduction
• Orthopedic biomechanics
• Computational modeling and finite element analysis
• Multiscale and multiphysics modeling
• Microfluidics and organ-on-a-chip systems
• AI and machine learning in biomechanics and biomedical engineering
• Biofabrication and 3D-printed biomedical models
• Experimental characterization of biological and biomaterial systems

Candidates with complementary expertise that can contribute to new interdisciplinary research directions are also welcome.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomechanics, or a closely related discipline.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong record of research, scholarly publications, and academic achievement appropriate to their career stage.
Language Requirement
Proficiency in Persian (Farsi) is required.
Effective communication in Persian is essential for teaching, student supervision, interaction with students and colleagues, and participation in academic activities at the university.
Proficiency in English is also expected for scientific communication, academic publication, and international research collaboration.
