3 Fee-waiver (Local/Int') only PhD Studentships (UK), April 2027 start

Hi all,

Three PhD studentships are available. No stipend/ living allowance is provided. Based on UKRI standard stipend rates, you should expect to have to afford at least GBP 66k over 3 years for your living allowance

Broad PhD topics (to be agreed as a team)
1. Single camera markerless algorithms
2. Integrated markerless with MSK modelling
3. MSK modellling of lumbar, hip or knee, applied to musculoskeletal disorders
4. Wearable sensors, physical activity monitoring, Opensense, time-series ML, foundation modelling, activity recognition using unsupervised learning
5. UK-biobank, multimodal analysis of questionnaires, accelerometers, imaging, genomics, etc applied to OA or back pain
6. Quantitative social sciences, especially the study of speech-behaviour coupling.
