  • Podcast Recommendations from the Biomechanics Community

    Dear all,
Are you looking for something new to listen to on your next walk, workout, or coffee break? We’ve gathered a list of podcast initiatives created by and for the biomechanics community:
    • @AmSocBiomech (YouTube) – By the American Society of Biomechanics, featuring professional development, student research, and Ask-Me-Anything sessions.
    • @BiomeCast (Spotify, in Portuguese) – Award-winning podcast hosted by Emmanuel Souza da Rocha, Felipe Carpes & Milena Aguiar. Science communication with humor and guest scientists.
    • @scienceinthebreak2663 (YouTube) – Led by Francesco Cenni. A platform for young researchers to talk about their work, methods, challenges, and funding. You could even be the next guest!
    • @intwomenbiomech (YouTube) – Recordings of monthly International Women in Biomechanics meetings, covering topics from open-source data and gender in negotiation to personal finances and AI in the classroom.
We’d love to hear from you! Here are a few questions to start the discussion:

When do you usually listen to podcasts? During your commute, while exercising, or maybe while working in the lab?
What kind of topics would you like to see more biomechanics podcasts cover (e.g., career advice, methods, research highlights, funding opportunities)?

Looking forward to your thoughts and recommendations!

    Best regards,
    Elisa Romero Avila
