The WCB 2026 Student Committee has planned several activities to help students and early-career researchers connect, learn, and make the most of the Congress experience.

A relaxed way to meet other students before the Congress gets fully underway, including an Icebreaker Bingo activity. - Morning Social Fun Run (Sign Up Required)
Sunday–Wednesday, July 12–15, 2026, 07:00–07:45
A casual morning run starting from the Vancouver Convention Centre and continuing through Stanley Park. - Meet the Biomechanics Experts (Sign Up Required, Limited Capacity)
Sunday, July 12, 2026, 12:45–13:45
An interactive mentoring session for undergraduate students, master’s students, PhD candidates, and junior postdocs to connect with experts from academia and industry. - Student Social Mixer / Student Night Out (Sold Out)
Sunday, July 12, 2026, 19:00–22:00
A ticketed evening event designed for networking, community-building, and connecting with students from around the world. - Professional Roundtables (Signed Up Required, Limited Capacity)
Monday, July 13, 2026, 12:45–13:45
Small-group discussions on topics such as international funding, research cultures, emerging technologies, postdoc experiences abroad, open science, and career pathways.
