We have an OptoTrak motion analysis system in our lab, and I've been using
it to observe physiological tremor of the finger in normal subjects. I
collect my data at 500 Hz and smooth it with a moving window over 5 frames.
The data look like one would expect (10 Hz tremor in most subjects), but I
understand that the OptoTrak is not normally used for this purpose. I'd
love to hear from anyone who has studied tremor with a camera based system.
I'd also appreciate hearing from some skeptics: what would it take to
convince you that this method was valid?
