Assistant Professor, tenure-track appointment, Kinesiology (Sports
Medicine/Athletic Training specialization)

Responsibilities: The faculty member will contribute to instruction,
scholarship, and service in the Kinesiology undergraduate, master's
level athletic training and doctoral level sports medicine programs.
Responsibilities also include directing the undergraduate program in
Kinesiology; including responding to student inquiries, recruitment of
students, initial advising, triage into appropriate specialty areas, and
advising students in pre-Athletic Training, pre-Physical Therapy and
other pre-Allied Health areas. The faculty member will also be expected
to seek extramural funding, and establish a programmatic line of
research in his/her chosen area. Collaboration with other faculty in
Kinesiology and the Curry School of Education, and interacting with
personnel at laboratory sites such as the McCue Center, Physical
Medicine & Rehabilitation, Kluge Children's Rehabilitation Center, and
the General Clinical Research Center of the Medical School is highly
desirable.



Qualifications: Earned doctorate in sports medicine or related field;
BOC athletic training certification; college/university teaching
experience; demonstrated ability to conduct, publish, and present
relevant research; record of chairing master's theses and/or doctoral
dissertations; demonstrated desire and ability to secure external
funding; and interest in fostering interdisciplinary and collaborative
research activities
