The Orthopedic Biomechanics Laboratory and Geriatrics Department at Beth
Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School seek applicants
for a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Aging Research.

Requirements: PhD in Bioengineering, Imaging Sciences, Engineering or
related field. Must be US Citizen or have permanent resident status.

Description: The successful candidate will develop CT-based imaging analysis
algorithms for assessment of bone density, muscle geometry and spine
fractures. These algorithms will be applied within the Framingham
epidemiologic cohort to study the interactions among vascular calcification,
bone density and spine fractures. The candidate will be expected to work
with a multidisciplinary team of epidemiologists, geneticists, and
bioengineers. The candidate must have outstanding written and oral
communication skills. The candidate is expected to present results at
national meetings and publish papers in scientific journals. This is a 2
year position, funded by an NIH-training grant. Position available in
early 2006.
