Hi, The Royal Veterinary College has openings for six PhD studentships (for
October 2007) in the area of Musculoskeletal Biology:

* Locomotor design constraints and musculoskeletal compromises in
chickens
* Structural and functional specialisation of locomotion in the cheetah
(Acinonyx jubatus)
* The aerodynamic properties of revolving bird wings
* Muscle synergies for mechanically diverse tasks
* Exploring the role of AMPK in bone
* Identifying the function of novel gene candidate regulators of
osteogenesis
