Assistant Professor in Skill Learning and Expert Performance

The Institute of Human Performance at the University of Hong Kong seeks an
Assistant Professor position in the field of Skill Learning and Expert
Performance. Skill learning and expert performance is one of two research
themes within the Institute and the appointee will be expected to teach
courses in skill learning plus work collaboratively in research with the
other Institute staff working in this area – Prof. Bruce Abernethy, Prof.
Rich Masters and Dr. Jamie Poolton.

Applicants must possess a relevant Ph.D. degree plus a strong research and
teaching record. The capability to teach either biomechanics or research
methods would also be an advantage. The post will initially be offered on a
three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal. An appointee
who demonstrates sustained strong performance will be considered for tenure
during the second three-year contract. An internationally competitive
salary is offered for the post along with other benefits.
