Anyone know of an article that describes a method to determine vaulting (the stance-phase clearance adaptation) in gait? The only one I've found was based on the ankle power curve, which seems a little roundabout to me, and I only have kinematic data. All I need to do is look at each single step and through some measure, presumably a feature of the ankle dorsi/plantarflexion angle curve, objectively say whether or not the step was vaulting.

I've thought of several ways to do this, but I'd rather use something referenced than make up my own method.
