I know I'm starting a very old thread. I have just started working on kinematics of fish using tri-axial accelerometer recordings with +/- 2G range. This might sounds silly but I'm a novice, how did you convert the G values to m/s^2? Are you looking at only the vertical values (thus multiplying by a factor of 9.8 would be my logic). I'm looking at the lateral axis (to measure tail beat frequency of a fish) and my accelerometer lacks a gyroscope.

I would really appreciate help on this.
