Drake University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Kinesiology, beginning August 2017. The department seeks an outstanding teacher-scholar with expertise in biomechanics and motor learning/control/development. A Ph.D. in kinesiology or biomechanics-related field is required. Teaching assignments include a biomechanics course with laboratory, a motor learning/development/control course, a first-year seminar course, a functional kinesiology course, and an upper level course in the candidate’s area of expertise. Applicants must have a strong commitment to active learning pedagogies and excellence in teaching, and demonstrate ability to establish an independent and productive research program integrating undergraduate students throughout the scientific process. Salary is competitive with peer schools and dependent on qualifications and experience.
