Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering Bioengineering Emphasis
Location: Valparaiso, Indiana

The Valparaiso University Department of Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of Bioengineering. The successful candidate will have an earned Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline, will be eligible to work in the U.S., and have an interest in teaching and developing undergraduate courses and laboratories in an undergraduate Bioengineering and Mechanical Engineering curriculum. As such, extra consideration will be afforded to those candidates who have received an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. The Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering programs are exclusively undergraduate. Candidates should be interested in working at a university engaged in issues in Christian higher education in the Lutheran tradition. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to cultural diversity and the ability to work with individuals or groups from diverse backgrounds. Qualifications
An earned Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Eligible to work in the U.S.

Interest in teaching and developing undergraduate courses and laboratories in an undergraduate Bioengineering and Mechanical Engineering curriculum.

Preferred undergraduate background in mechanical engineering.
