    Canada Research Chair in Mechanisms of Concussion - University of Calgary

    Canada Research Chair Tier 1 NSERC aligned: Mechanisms of Concussion, Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Calgary
    Integrated Concussion Research Program in partnership with Schulich School of Engineering and Cumming School of Medicine

    The Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary invites applications for a tenured Professor appointment as a NSERC Tier 1 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Mechanisms of Concussion.
    This Chair will be in alignment with the Integrated Concussion Research Program in partnership with Schulich School of Engineering and Cumming School of Medicine (Hotchkiss Brain Institute and the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute).
    The appointment date for the successful candidate is anticipated to be between January and July 2019.
    The deadline for applications is May 4th, 2018.

    This is a tenured full professor faculty position in the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Calgary. The CRC Tier 1 will be appointed in accordance with University policies, based on a recommendation from the Dean, Faculty of Kinesiology.
    The CRC Tier 1 funding is for a seven-year, renewable term. Chair candidates will be required to have academic qualifications commensurate with an appointment at the rank of Professor and an internationally distinguished research and teaching record.
    Candidates must have the necessary credentials to deliver on the mission of the Chair to lead a novel research program at the intersection of leading-edge science in biomechanics and brain pathophysiology in alignment with the priorities of the Faculty of Kinesiology, Integrated Concussion Research Program, and University of Calgary including Eyes High Strategy (https://www.ucalgary.ca/eyeshigh).
