    The Augusta University (AU) at Augusta Georgia invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor at the College of Allied Health Sciences.

    ROLE of the POSITION
    This is a full-time, 12-month position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The focus of the position is teaching, mentoring and advising doctoral students in the Applied Health Sciences PhD program ( There will also be some teaching in the Department of Physical Therapy's research curriculum. Other responsibilities include developing a program of research leading to publications in refereed journals, procuring external grants, and participating in university, professional and department service activities.


    • Earned terminal academic doctorate (PhD or DSc) in an area of expertise related to human rehabilitation or neuroscience. There are opportunities for collaboration in the Human Movement Science research lab (
    • Evidence of scholarship, including publications in peer-reviewed journals
    • History of successful grantsmanship
    • Teaching experience in graduate programs
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
    • Ability to collaborate, solve problems and be flexible
    • Demonstrated ability to learn, develop and apply new technologies
