Assistant Professor of Exercise & Sport Studies

The Department of Exercise & Sport Studies at Smith College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin July, 2019. Candidates should have a strong foundation in biomechanics as it relates to movement and sport. Teaching responsibilities for this position are four 4-credit courses annually, including a graduate course in applied biomechanics. Other courses the candidate will teach depend upon the candidate’s field of specialization. Candidates are expected to develop and engage students in a scholarly research program. A Ph.D. in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a relevant field, is expected by the time of appointment.
