The Impact Dynamics Research Lab ( at Carleton University (Ottawa, ON, Canada) is looking for qualified candidates for two PhD positions to investigate traumatic injury biomechanics. Our current work focuses are blunt impact trauma to the lung and head. This position is for a 2019 start date and could be as early as January.

Our research group has access to unique imaging facilities and experimental diagnostics, including a high-speed x-ray capability. Our research team is currently working on several industrial collaborations, both nationally and internationally related to behind armour trauma and concussion.

We are seeking individuals with a Masterís degree in a relevant Engineering discipline. Students with prior experimental experience are encouraged to apply. Willingness to work with cadavers and animal tissues is essential.
