The De Luca Foundation is pleased to announce our new 2019 App Development Competition initiative.

The Competition offers a chance to win portable EMG equipment and cash awards up to $7,500.00 USD by developing EMG-centric applications for mobile devices with real-world viability.

The competition is separated into two Phases:

Phase 1: A proposal for the development of a mobile application for real-time recording, monitoring, and/or analytics of EMG and IMU movement signals is submitted. DLF will review and select up to (5) proposals to receive the Phase 1 Award, a 2-sensor Trigno Avanti Mobile System, provided courtesy of Delsys, Inc.

Phase 2: Using this equipment, the receiving parties will implement the development of the mobile application as described in their proposal. Successfully developed mobile apps that meet the requirements as detailed in the proposal will receive a Participation Cash Award of $2,500.00 USD. In addition, (1) winner will be identified to receive the Phase 2 Award, an additional $5,000.00 USD.

Proposals shall be submitted by a faculty member affiliated with an institution. Development can be completed by a student or group of students working under the supervision of the faculty member applicant.

The competition is open to academic institutions worldwide.
