Applications are invited for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow position within the Stoeber Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC). The advertised position is for 1 year, with the possibility of extension.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and have ideally demonstrated expertise in the areas of tissue mechanics, flow through porous media, microscopy techniques, image processing and analysis, and the design and instrumentation of experimental setups. While not necessary, candidates with additional expertise in handling biological materials, microflow physics, complex fluids, flow imaging techniques, and/or the use of a microfabrication cleanroom are especially encouraged to apply. The applicants should be capable of independent work and collaborative research working as part of a team in an interdisciplinary research setting. Successful candidates will engage in active collaborations between the Stoeber Lab and other groups.

The position is available immediately. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
