Hi All,

I have been reading up on eccentric contractions and interestingly found some studies from the 80's and 90's that claimed orderly recruitment was reversed during an eccentric contraction (i.e. fast-twitch fibres first then slow); I was fascinated to read this and also thought this may be one reason as to why eccentric training may elicit greater hypertrophy... BUT a review by Chalmers et al. 2008 (https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/14763140701683023) states otherwise. Since this paper in 2008 I have struggled to find anymore papers examining the order of recruitment during eccentric contractions and was wondering if anybody knew of some as this could be a really fascinating finding if better and more recent methodological findings have found anything similar. Thank you in advance! Any help or advice from experience would be greatly appreciated!
