The Movement & Applied Imaging Lab in the Department of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training has an opening for a full-time Research Fellow/Lab Manager.

The candidate will be responsible for data collection and processing for ongoing studies, database management, regulatory approvals and organization, equipment/inventory/budgetary maintenance, quality assurance, recruitment and scheduling, and training/supervision of researchers. Opportunities to contribute to scientific presentations and publications exist for motivated candidates.

Person hired must have excellent organizational and communication skills, enjoy working in a team, be willing to take initiative and work independently, and be comfortable with building/fixing devices

Required qualifications:

  • Masterís degree in biomechanics, biomedical engineering, or related field
  • Experience with
    • motion capture instrumentation including optical systems and force platforms for analysis of human motion
    • surface EMG instrumentation
    • instrumented dynamometry
    • human subjects in research
    • REDCap database
    • MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Experience with any of these is preferred - inertial motion capture, Matlab/Python programming, mobile app development, supervision of research students
