About this scholarship - Analysis of training and match demands of Super Rugby players

To improve our understanding of elite athlete performance, we have an Honours scholarship available in Brisbane, Australia. This scholarship will enable the right candidate to work inside a professional sports club completing applied research with real athlete data sets. The successful candidate for the "Analysis of training and match demands of Super Rugby players" scholarship is open to any student (domestic or international) who is wanting to pursue a career in applied research in elite sport. Applicants should have a passion for data and previous experience in sport is not required (i.e., we welcome applicants from all domains).

  • The scholarship is valued at $7,500, to be paid fortnightly in instalments of $326
  • Placement within a professional football club
  • Additional funding and support for continuing professional development


Applications are open to all who meet the following criteria:
  • Citizenship: domestic and international students
  • Faculty: Health Sciences
  • Campus: Brisbane
  • Course: Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science (Honours) / Bachelor of High Performance Sport (Honours)
  • Study load: full time
  • Minimum GPA 5.75
  • Year level: any
