Essential Functions:
The Research Technician functions include general technical duties but with specific responsibilities within the area of Human Movement Biomechanics. These include, but are not limited to: processing and analyzing biomechanical and neuroimaging data and data entry; organize data for presentation and achieving purposes; assisting with set-up and operation during data collections with human subjects; supervising subjects through exercise interventions; schedule subjects for data collection and maintain a shared lab calendar that avoids scheduling conflicts; maintain phone and/or electronic mail contact with subjects as necessitated by specific research protocols. The Research Technician will assure all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained, as well as restock, order, and organize collection supplies.

This position is funded on a grant set to expire June 30, 2021. Should funding become available, this position can be extended.

Assist with data processing biomechanical (3D kinematics, kinetics, EMG) and neuroimaging data (fNIRS, EEG), analysis and storage to include maintaining backup data. Providing necessary supervision for junior laboratory personnel

Conduct data collection including recruiting and scheduling subjects, providing subjects with instructions for the study to ensure that all procedures are performed accurately and consistently and other duties regarding data collection as assigned.

Maintain equipment including troubleshooting and normal upkeep of all laboratory devices. Submits requests for materials needed to perform maintenance and/or data collection.

Organize data for presentation and achieving purposes

Required Qualifications:
Prior experience with motion capture

B.S in Science, Engineering or related field
