PhD student positions in computational modeling of the knee joint and AI

Our international Nordic consortium (Finland, Sweden, Denmark) received recently a research grant of about 1 million euros from ERA PerMed aiming to provide a multi-scale biomechanics and modelling workflow coupled with machine/deep learning algorithms that can be used for prediction of progression of osteoarthritis and optimization of its treatment. We are now recruiting two PhD students for that project: (1) Finite Element Modeling of the Knee Joint, and (2) Machine Learning and Osteoarthritis Prediction. These two students will work closely together combining Finite Element Modeling and Machine Learning.

More details of the positions can be found from the following links, and the application can be done electronically from the links:

PhD student 1 (Finite Element Modeling of the Knee Joint):

PhD student 2 (Machine Learning and Osteoarthritis Prediction):

Deadline for both applications is December 15, 2019.
