Position Summary:

The Biomedical Engineering Interdisciplinary Program of the University of
Arizona invites applications for a tenure-eligible Assistant Professor position
in Biomedical Engineering. This new faculty position has been established as
part of a Whitaker Foundation Biomedical Engineering Special Opportunities
Award. The successful candidate will have a primary appointment in Biomedical
Engineering with opportunities for secondary appointments in the College of
Medicine, College of Engineering and Mines, and the College of Sciences.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include teaching in the core biomedical engineering
curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Engineering or scientific background with an
emphasis on biomedical implants and imaging.

Preferred Qualifications:

A research emphasis in tissue engineering.
